TRAVEL TIPS
- On our second day, we stopped by Gljúfrafoss. This waterfall is a unique experience because you can hike back into a cave inlet to cascading water. We didn’t photograph it due to how extremely wet it was.
- We would highly recommend an F Road approved vehicle if you’re planning to drive any of the island. It’s a vehicle built for rougher roads. There were many areas we wished we could explore, but weren’t permitted to in regular cars.
- The restaurant Icelandic Streetfood is amazing for a delicious and authentic lunch option in Reykjavik. It’s family owned and uses recipes passed down for generations.
